About the film

Deep in the mountains in southern Norway Odd Kvinen runs a husky farm. Teaching about history, from the time before the oil was found in Norway and the country was poor. About the changes that came with finding oil and building hydro power plants, and the country becoming rich. Teaching about the energy transition, respect for nature and choices we have to make.

We will need more energy while at the same time we want to phase out our oil. But there are realities we must face if we want to change to renewable and more clean energy. But are we willing to change?

Narrator Odd Kvinen asks us a very simple question:

Oil made us rich, but did we become happier? 

A story so pure and true that we wanted to catch on film, use this film as educational tool and share this story with the world.
